At Patch Elementary School we are proud of our students, our school and the community that supports us. We are privileged to serve a group of people engaged in such vital work for our nation. It is an honor to contribute, in whatever way we can, to their success. We take seriously our obligation to make our school everything it can be for our students, and attempt to enrich our children's lives by taking advantage of our unique setting in the beautiful, welcoming country of Germany.
Our students routinely score above the national average in reading, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. In order to achieve these high standards, we rely heavily on parental support. We promote active parent participation both at home and at school to help us reach our annual goals. Our well qualified, experienced, and effective teaching staff bases its instructional programs on the curriculum standards developed in our Department of Defense Schools office in Washington, D. C. Again this year, our main instructional focus is on the two fundamental subjects of reading and mathematics. Through the implementation of our School Improvement Plan, a document prepared by both teachers and community members, we insure conscious efforts to deliver an ever more effective educational program to the children of our community are made. The School Improvement Plan, designed to make a good school even better, implements activities and learning strategies to help improve skills in our focus areas.
The physical facility of our school and its landscaped setting are spacious, attractive, and well maintained. We continually strive to create a learning atmosphere that is student centered and also projects a welcoming ambiance that encourages parent involvement. The Patch community is an exciting and inviting place to be. We look forward to seeing you soon!
